License Reinstatement
Driver’s License Reinstatement through Secretary of State Administrative Hearings
If you want to regain driving privileges after your driver’s license has been revoked, you must have a hearing with the Illinois Secretary of State’s Administrative Hearings division. Whether you’re going to an informal (typically allowed if you’d been convicted of only one DUI) or a formal hearing (mandatory when you’re convicted of multiple DUIs or you’re convicted of an aggravated DUI) our counselors are here to help. The IL Secretary of State’s documentation requirements are complex and confusing and forever changing. When you make an appointment with the DUI Counseling Centers to obtain your treatment documents, you can be rest-assured that our expert staff are up-to-date with the Secretary of State’s requirements for paperwork to meet Secretary of State formal and informal hearing requirements. We have 8 convenient Chicago area locations to serve you.
We’ll provide you with quality Treatment Verification documents, other various mandatory treatment documents, a DUI Alcohol and Drug Evaluation Uniform Report or an Alcohol/Drug Evaluation Update (if your prior evaluation or update exceeded six months from the hearing date), and, if required, a Treatment Needs Assessment. In other words, we’ll provide you with any and all evaluation and treatment documents and explain in detail each document’s purpose so you’re prepared for your hearing.

Investigative Alcohol/Drug Evaluation
Previously called a non-DUI Evaluation, an Investigative Alcohol/Drug Evaluation is performed when you’re arrested for an alcohol and/or drug related offense that led to a suspension or revocation of your driver’s license that was non-DUI related e.g. zero tolerance (underage drinking) and, in some instances, of possession of illicit drugs, or when you’re arrested for a non- alcohol/drug related offense that led to a suspension or revocation of your driver’s license when a previous offense was alcohol/drug related e.g. driving on a suspended or revoked driver’s IL license subsequent to a DUI arrest.
